About the Prayer Room
The Bible instructs Christians to "pray for each other" with the assurance that "the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective." (James 5:16) The Christian.org Prayer Room makes it possible to pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Tips and Instructions
- Each day you can visit the Prayer Room to see the most recent prayer requests. You'll see when it was submitted, the Prayer Request Description, who posted it, and your Prayer Status. Click on the Prayer Request Description to read more details of the prayer request.
- When you find one that you want to pray for, click the “Pray for This” link - and then stop and pray. The prayer request will now be marked with your username and picture along with everyone else who has prayed for that request. What an encouragement to the person asking for prayer to see the names and faces of everyone who is praying!
- Use the Facebook Commenting feature (at the bottom of each prayer request page) to share an encouragement with the person requesting prayer. This can be something as simple as telling them you are praying for them, or share an encouragement, scripture, or type out a prayer. Leave the "Post to Facebook" checkbox checked to post your comment on Facebook. What a great way to integrate Facebook with on-line ministry!
- To post your own prayer request, click “Request Prayer” on the left menu. Note that you'll need to be registered and logged in to post prayer requests. After you post your prayer request, be sure to review it and also add your own comment to share the prayer request on Facebook as well. Be sure to check back later to see who is praying for you.
Your Prayer Ministry - 5 Minutes a Day
Just think if you spend 5 minutes of your day praying for a need for another brother or sister in Christ, in one year’s time you will have prayed for and encouraged 365 of your family members! The Prayer Room is a great place for you to have a prayer and encouragement ministry.
"The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Phil. 4:6
Registering and Logging-In
For the Prayer Room and other Christian.org features, you’ll have to be registered as a member to use them - but registration is free and only takes a minute. Click in the upper-right corner to register. Once you are logged-in, you’ll see your name in the upper-right corner, or if you are not logged-in (like if you are using a different computer for instance) just enter your username and password to log back in.
