MISSION:
To reach out to all kinds HIV/AIDS afflicted people in both rural and urban communities to build, foster and promote good health, psychological and social-economic prosperity of orphans while protecting their rights.

VISION
To build a bridge of hope in the lives of the children who have lost hope.

Providing tuition and other school fees for orphans.

Vocational skills and career guidance for adolescents that are approaching the workforce, thereby building responsibility and self-sufficiency.

HIV/AIDS awareness programs in schools and communities.

Educating adults of HIV/AIDS and its preventative steps.

Restoring family life in the lives of children who have lost their families.
Help the orphans discover their roots and enable them to build strong relationships. In this, strengthen family ties and reduce the number of orphan children living on streets.

As the fight against AIDS continues we must put great attention towards the generations to come. Preparing for their well being today will help insure their future’s existence. Children are left in this world alone. Their parents die of AIDS, children are abandoned and their survival depends on a helping hand.

GOAL:
To reduce stigma, psychological torture among the orphans and vulnerable children in order to build hope that will help them regain their lost glory through provision of basic needs of life i.e shelter, food, education, medical care, clothing etc.

We have projects and visions you should know about and so we encourage you to navigate through pages and we pray you can find how to bless a life today.

Description

Home of Hope-Uganda which is an independent, indigenous non-governmental organization which was started
in 2011 by  pastor Slot Rogers organization,HOH-Uganda will soon be upgraded to a non governmental organization to better handle the
anticipated future characterized by abject poverty and the unending spread of HIV/AIDS. HOH is a fully independent CBO
with headquarters in Mafubira in Jinja, about two hours east of Kampala , Uganda .

Community Placement of Orphaned Children
As we identify children that have lost their parents, we trace the next of kin to try and place them there, so
as to keep that unique semblance of familial attachment going. In the absence of relatives, we identify families with the
capacity to absorb one or two extra children and then place them there. These families are expected to treat the orphans
as though they are their own children, by providing them with whatever their families would: food, shelter, medical
care, education, clothing, but above all, love without peripheral qualifications. HOH-ug now visits these homes once every
month to supervise and ascertain compliance to HOH-Ug child placement standards.

HOME OF HOPE ORPHANAGE:

In the absence of a suitable home for orphaned and vulnerable children,HOH-ug provides a home to care for them as

they can meet that need. Children’s needs are complex and require physical, social, developmental, and spiritual care

to raise them with a sense of self confidence
other programs are:

(1) Assessing child welfare needs for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children and coordinating resources for their
care.

(2) Providing psychosocial care to widows and children whose lives have been affected by AIDS

Empowering widows economically through pursuing income generating activities and vocational training.

(3) Providing formal education for orphans and vulnerable children whose families are affected by AIDS.

Sensitizing and educating communities about HIV/AIDS.

(4) Providing mobile palliative care for people living with AIDS.

(5) Providing spiritual care and support

We believe the viable way to liberate the African child is by directly investing in their eduction so as to gain
self reliance and esteem
Glory be to God for He is using his people to let His kingdom known and enlarging it.

Organizational Statement of Faith

Home of hope does not discriminate in regard to sex, religious or tribal background in its mission to serve orphans and
vulnerable children, and our community member living with AIDS.
