Stress
Dear friends
I was reading an article from one of the my friends on the topic of Stress:
He was giving an illustration and example how reduce the stress. Here is the story The true meaning of stress
A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and
explaining stress management to an audience; with a raised glass of
water, and everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question,
'half empty or half full?'..... she fooled them all... "How heavy is
this glass of water?", she inquired with a smile.
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how
long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I
hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it
for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case it's the
same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She
continued, "and that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our
burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes
increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."
"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and
rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on
with the burden - holding stress longer and better each time
practiced. So, as early in the evening as you can, put all your
burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the
night... pick them up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment.
Relax, pick them up later after you've rested. Life is short. Enjoy it
and the now 'supposed' stress that you've conquered!"
Yes, how true it is several time we do as we read this illustration for stress.
Jesus Said ,31 So do not worry, saying, what shall we eat?’ or what shall we drink?’ or what shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Mat.6:31-33
How true it is but as a human being it is hard of not to think of what makes us bother. It is inevitable as the people this world but as a Christian it is possible to over come by the Grace and power of the Lord because of His wonderful word which is living and having life.
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.Psalm 55:22
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Psalm 68:19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Let us Trust the Lord rather trust anything on earth.Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. 9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
Everything created by God but people of God also easily sometime fall to trust His creation rather than God who is almighty and Creator of everything.
Being the children of God we should not fall such trap in our life BECAUSE HE IS THE SPIRIT WHO LIVES AND LOVES AND GUIDES YOU ALWAYS.
VICTORY BELONGS TO US AND GOD SHALL FIGHT FOR US THEREFORE, LET US REST ON HIM AND LOVE HIM AND SERVE HIM
AMEN!!!!!!!
